About Us
Our Mission
AMBUCS is a national organization whose Mission Statement is: Creating mobility and independence for people with disabilities. The organization raises funds to provide adapted tricycles to children that are unable to ride a traditional bicycle. Our local chapter of AMBUCS, Mississippi Bend Trykes was formed in January 2016. We serve individuals in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.
Counties Served
We aim to serve children in the following counties in Iowa and Illinois:
IL: Rock Island, Mercer, Henry, Whiteside
IA: Scott, Clinton, Muscatine, Louisa, Jackson, Cedar, Dubuque
Our Members
Our chapter was started by a group of physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists and parents from the community. We are a diverse group and continue to add members with different backgrounds and skills.
